About this role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Performance and Data Quality Engineer to work in a dynamic development team responsible for the MindBridge data analytics pipeline. As a data analytics pipeline team member, you will play a crucial role in establishing new validation frameworks, developing test automation suites, test datasets, and developing validation strategies for a growing list of statistical, rules based, and machine learning algorithms.

Your responsibilities:

  • Developing Data Quality Solutions
    Working closely with the MindBridge Data Science and Quality Assurance teams, design custom data sets to verify behaviour of unsupervised algorithms. Create assertions for expected results. Create data and assertions for edge cases and challenging data distributions.
  • Interpreting / Reporting Data Validation Results
    Develop automated methods and systems to validate correct algorithm behaviours in terms of accuracy, consistency, stability, repeatability and overall system performance and reliability. Develop methods and systems to provide notifications, escalations and automated responses depending on test validation results.

Key skills & qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on data platforms, test methods, data verification and test automation.
  • Hands-on experience automation platforms, data manipulation technologies and verification systems.
  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining data quality checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java.
  • Strong understanding of validation technologies, techniques and modern tooling.
  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
  • GPU acceleration and associated verification methods is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners and vendors.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with test automation tools and platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred.
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines is preferred.
