Moselle is an automated solution designed to simplify inventory planning and management. It empowers merchants to optimize their inventory replenishment and allocation effortlessly. In short, we help businesses determine the right quantity of products to order, the best timing for restocking, and how to efficiently place orders with their suppliers.

Role Overview

As a Director of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in developing our core product and driving our technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Must still be able to contribute as an individual contributor. This is not solely a management role.
• Ensuring effective collaboration across various projects. This includes hiring, training, and mentoring team members to foster a high-performing environment.
• Ensuring that all initiatives align with the company's strategic goals. This involves setting project requirements, goals, and timelines, as well as monitoring progress and performance
• Defining technical visions and ensuring that projects adhere to best practices and compliance standards
• Preparing financial plans, monitoring expenditures, and making adjustments as necessary to meet organizational goals
• Responsible for identifying and implementing new technologies that can enhance productivity and efficiency within the engineering team. This includes evaluating tools and systems that can improve project outcomes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Have worked at a startup or engineering organization prior
• Full proficiency in any of the following languages: Ruby, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with cloud providers in AWS, Google Cloud
• Experience with DevOps best practices: IaC, CI/CD, Distributed Systems
• Experience with data engineering: Feature engineering, data modeling, data warehousing
• Experience leading and mentoring more junior members of staff

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range based on region $130k-$170k USD
