We are looking to fill a People & Culture Recruiter role for our People & Culture Team in St. John’s, NL. This position will be a fixed term position as a Maternity Leave replacement. In this role you will provide crucial support to all areas of our business, by managing talent acquisition. You’ll recruit top-tier talent to join our teams, and help to onboard and seamlessly integrate each new team member into our exciting company culture. You will help to continue to build our external employer brand, and assist with various employee matters as they arise.

Role Overview:

  • You will drive the full resourcing life cycle of each department from recruitment through to onboarding:
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from talent sourcing to onboarding.
  • Develop job descriptions and implement innovative strategies to attract top candidates.
  • Manage resume screening, interviews, assessments, and hiring decisions.
  • Maintain recruitment records and provide updates to hiring teams.
  • Facilitate offer negotiations, new hire documentation, and onboarding.
  • Build strong relationships and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
  • You will provide assistance with various daily tasks with respect to employee relations and workplace culture:
  • Collaborate on employer branding, social media initiatives, and cultural programs to enhance internal and external engagement.
  • Support employees and teams by addressing queries, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting with the management of various employee-related matters that may require the highest degree of sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture by suggesting and implementing initiatives that drive employee satisfaction and strengthen company values.

Your Star Qualities:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a talent acquisition or recruitment role, with a proven track record of success in sourcing and attracting top talent through innovative and effective recruitment strategies.
  • Successful completion of a relevant Business Degree/Diploma.
  • Experience working with an Application Tracking System and G-Suite software tools would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a flare for creative writing to attract candidates through employer branding techniques.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, programming languages, and industry jargon would be considered an asset to aid in technical recruitment.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, and able to multi-task a high volume of resourcing requirements.
  • Strong adaptability and agility to quickly refocus efforts when priorities shift.
  • Intrinsic passion for working with people and fostering solid relationships.
  • A keen interest in using modern AI tools.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work in both a highly collaborative environment and on individual tasks.
