WHAT’S ON OFFER
As a fast growing start-up, we are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to work closely with our hiring managers, directly contributing to growing our team. This position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Working closely and collaborating with hiring Managers and the HR team, you’ll own the full cycle recruiting process
  • Manage and maintain our recruiting process and our ATS (Lever) so that we’re up to date and organized, our pipeline is strong and our candidate experience is smooth
  • Create targeted and compelling job postings and ensure they’re posted in the best possible locations
  • Identify the best platforms and techniques for sourcing candidates and building a diverse pipeline, implement creative recruiting strategies
  • Participate in the interview process, recommend improvements, efficiencies and best practice
  • Provide frequent and timely updates to hiring Managers, candidates
  • Complete reference and background checks, prepare and present offers
  • Maintain candidate and recruitment data and report key metrics
  • Work with our Marketing department to continue to develop and improve our online presence, careers page and other branding strategies
  • Source and attend career fairs and recruiting events
  • Maintain candidate and recruitment data and report key metrics
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of other improvements and efficiencies to the processes of recruitment, selection and onboarding and the overall candidate experience

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for HR, with 5+ years experience in a similar technical recruitment role, with generalist experience in other areas of HR
  • Adaptable and flexible, thrives in a small company or startup environment
  • A unique and informed perspective around sourcing strategies and engaging top diverse talent in competitive global markets
  • Able to understand, source and screen for technical role requirements
  • Proven experience successfully filling a variety of senior technical and non-technical specialized positions (i.e. Full-Stack Developers, Data and Analytics Engineers, ML Engineers, Product Managers, Sales and Commercial positions, etc.)
  • Able to converse on a basic level with candidates on our tech stack and product offerings, MAPTUAL Field and MAPTUAL Sphere, built on our MAPTUAL Platform
  • Has successfully sourced candidates for niche technical roles using a variety of platforms and strategies
  • Experience as both an in-house and external recruiter is an asset
  • Strong searching and sourcing skills (boolean, etc), and strong conversion skills
  • Has experience crafting high-quality tailored messaging that can successfully engage potential candidates
  • Is data-driven and has informed opinions on how to measure success
  • Ability to independently identify issues, research, suggest and implement improvements
  • Tech savvy and able to use, and even implement different operations software tools
  • We use Google Workspace, Excel, Collage, Wagepoint, Lever, Dext, Slack, Notion, Canva, etc.
  • Post-Secondary degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or a similar degree or related experience
  • In-depth knowledge of ESA and other legislative requirements

LOCATION
We are a remote-first company based in Toronto with frequent in-person collaborative work sessions and social gatherings at a work-share office in downtown Toronto. We leverage many synchronous and asynchronous communication tools as well as virtual social events, and provide an allowance for your ideal WFH setup.
