Role Description:
Reporting to the Director, Research Operations and Project Management, the Project Coordinator will provide administrative and project management support for both pre and post award processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Research Operations and Project Management Office to coordinate the quarterly reporting schedule with project managers and administrative staff at research institutions and functions as initial point of contact for projects within the research portfolio.
- Assisting with the intake, tracking and reviewing of new applications prior to submission to Genome Canada
- Liaising with the communications team for announcements pertaining to Ontario Genomics-led initiatives to interested parties.
- Responsible for entering information in OGI Databases (SalesForce and Factorial).
- Preparing for upcoming project meetings; acting as main point of contact for external participants’ logistic inquiries.
- Liaising with OG Finance team for all payment processing
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Post Secondary education
- 2+ years’ experience in a project coordination role in a technical environment
- A scientific background is not required but considered an asset
- Strong administrative and data management skills
- Experience with SalesForce and Factorial/Smart Simple a definite benefit
- Experience working with Microsoft office suites
- Proactive, self-starter and detailed oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
