Role Description:
Reporting to the Advisor, Science Communications and Digital Media, this role will support the development and delivery of the Ontario Genomics digital communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of content for Ontario Genomics’ 25th Anniversary.
- Create engaging multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics.
- Film footage for short-form and long-form content.
- Support the planning and execution of communication campaigns for events, funding opportunities, and industry news.
- Provide general support for marketing and outreach initiatives as needed.

- You love storytelling and can translate complex ideas into engaging content.
- You are passionate about science communication and making science accessible to a broader audience.
- You have experience or interest in video production and social media marketing.
- You have experience in graphic design, including working with brand identities to create content, designing infographics, and creating event marketing material.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in communications, marketing, journalism, science communication, or a related field.
- Strong video editing skills.
- Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Experience with graphic design.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Interest in genomics, biotechnology, or scientific innovation
- Must be able to attend on-site work functions, as needed, and a minimum of 1 day/week in office (Toronto) required.
