Location: MaRS Centre, Toronto
Department: Clinical Translation
Reports To: Director
Salary: Commensurate with level of experience, plus a defined benefit pension plan (HOOPP)
Hours: 35 hours/week
Job Type: Hybrid
Status: Full-time, Temporary (until March 2026)
Position Summary
OICR Clinical Translation (CT) bridges the gap between science and patient care by funding development and innovation in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Reporting to the Director and working closely with the Scientific Director, CT is seeking a highly organized and strategic Project Manager to spearhead the scoping, design, and development of a coordinated framework for minimal residual disease (MRD) cancer clinical trials in Ontario. This role will focus on identifying best practices from other jurisdictions, engaging key stakeholders, and producing an actionable roadmap for an integrated network approach.
The Project Manager will work closely with clinicians, researchers, patient partners and institutional leads to ensure the framework is aligned with existing cancer research and infrastructure.
This position is temporary, full-time until March 31, 2026.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of international MRD cancer trial networks, frameworks and governance models
- Map existing Ontario research capacity, stakeholders and infrastructure relevant to MRD trials
- Organize stakeholder meetings and focus groups to gather input on framework priorities and feasibility
- Develop a proposed framework, incorporating best practices, governance structures, and work modules
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines and deliverables
- Prepare reports, presentations and meeting minutes
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, health administration or related field, or recognized equivalent
- Experience leading projects
- Familiarity with clinical trials
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven sense of initiative
