We're looking for a Senior Copy Specialist to work with internal team members and key client stakeholders to create and execute project plans that help clients meet and exceed their strategic e-commerce objectives. You will become an expert and a go-to resource regarding Flywheel’s platforms, e-commerce copy, keyword research, and retailer requirements. The role is very hands-on, working with internal teams as well as managing freelancers to complete various projects. What You'll Do:
- Manage the core copy components of Flywheel's largest client accounts:
- Collaborate with Account Managers and clients to understand project needs and develop comprehensive e-commerce copy strategies
- Oversee the entire copy development process, from gathering guidelines and coordinating with teams to reviewing and approving deliverables for quality
- Manage multiple large, potentially complex, projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and internal documentation are maintained
- Lead initiatives to improve internal processes, project efficiency, and copy team performance, while proactively addressing and resolving issues as they arise
- Manage freelancers to create copy at scale
- Communicate with freelancers in a clear and concise manner
- Ensure the right freelancers are on your project teams by identifying what their writing strengths are and their availability
- Coach freelancers’ performance throughout the lifecycle of a project via email, including resolving disputes, communicating instruction changes, and providing constructive performance feedback
Who You Are:
- You have proven experience within copywriting and a solid portfolio of work
- Excellent writing and editing skills with an in-depth knowledge of AP style
- Well-versed in SEO, GEO, AEO, and e-commerce copywriting best practices
- Comfortable with crowdsourcing concepts and related industry trends
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and active listening skills
