Perpetua provides retail media optimization and market intelligence technology for the world's smartest eCommerce brands. Within the Flywheel suite of offerings, the Perpetua business focuses specifically on challenger brands and the agencies who serve them.
We are looking for an accomplished Sr. Director of Programmatic Services who will report directly to the GM of the Perpetua business. You will set and execute the strategic vision for our Programmatic DSP team, with ultimate accountability for driving business growth, operational excellence, and innovation in our programmatic media offerings. What You Will Do:
Business Accountability & Strategy Client Relationship Management
- Lead the Perpetua ADSP team, with overall accountability for its commercial and operational performance.
- Manage programmatic media budgets, forecasting, and reporting—ensuring investment delivers measurable impact and value.
- Oversee, in close collaboration with Product, the development of Perpetua’s programmatic optimization and reporting platform across Amazon and other DSPs.
- Maintain a pulse on competing SaaS offerings for Amazon DSP campaign technology, as well as customer feedback on the Perpetua platform and feature requests.
- Set and enforce a high standard of quality and excellence within the Perpetua DSP team, with active performance management and clear KPIs.
- Define and implement processes for continuous measurement and improvement, optimizing workflows and driving operations excellence across client-facing reporting, team capacity management and ad operations best practices.
- Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor and driving long-term client retention and growth.
- Own the Amazon Ads relationship, including defining processes and ways of working between the Perpetua DSP team and Amazon Ads AEs with the goal of growing client media spend through Perpetua.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the programmatic ecosystem.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales to ensure our programmatic offerings are well positioned and understood by the market.
Team Leadership & Development
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that values innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Constantly seek ways to improve team efficiency and campaign performance—optimizing processes, leveraging automation, and ensuring work/life balance.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and coaching of team members; ensure executing of training programs.
- Manage DSP team leads, building clear career paths for individual development and providing ongoing feedback to accelerate growth and performance.
Who You Are:
- 8+ years of experience in digital media, with at least 5 years in programmatic advertising and retail media networks/platforms with growing responsibility and significant oversight of retail media services delivery
- Industry-leading domain expertise in programmatic media, including DSPs, DMPs, ad exchanges, and data privacy regulations – Amazon DSP experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable with ambiguity; proven track record prioritizing in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with competing internal and external priorities
- Adept at quickly mastering new technologies and staying current with industry trends in retail media, e-commerce, or advertising technology.
- Passionate about building strong, consultative relationships with clients and stakeholders; skilled at understanding business needs and translating them into actionable strategies.
- Proven track record of flawless execution, driving growth, client retention, and exceeding expectations.
- Strong business acumen, problem solving & analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence diverse audiences—including at the executive level.
- Bias for action and ability to achieve objectives and goals with optimistic energy and tenacity to defeat barriers.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a passion for not just identifying complex problems but solving them.
- Team management experience, with demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching skills
