What You’ll Do:

  • Setup and execute controlled prototype equipment tests; identify, catalogue and report findings to Hardware & Software teams
  • Develop, evaluate and improve robotic manufacturing systems and processes by working closely with a diverse technical team of software developers, designers, and engineers
  • Maintain and promote a safe and professional environment with a high level of safety awareness and compliance
  • Identify individual components (both manufactured and purchased) and use them to create sub-assemblies for work cells, stations and other automated equipment
  • Assemble, fit, align, plumb, wire, drill & anchor, and integrate workstations or systems that may include pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical sensing components, conveyor and feeder systems
  • Rig and safely handle large equipment at our state-of-art robotic facility and also on-site at customer facilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and perform required repairs to automation equipment
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, genie booms, and overhead cranes.
  • Participate in mechanical design reviews

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • College diploma or University Degree (Robotics, Industrial Automation, Mechanical or Mechatronics)
  • Experience with industrial robot programming, PLCs, and industrial safety systems
  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly and/or wiring of machine components
  • Willingness to participate in a variety of technical areas in both hardware and software as needed to solve complex problems and achieve business impact
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and organization skills
  • A positive “can-do” attitude and motivation to solve complex challenges
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office experience with intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ability to be on your feet for the majority of the working day
  • The ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • The ability to travel internationally
  • (Preferred) 3+ years of industry experience in leading, supervising or managing complex industrial robotics and system integration projects
  • (Preferred) Experience integrating KUKA robotics is a great asset
  • (Preferred) Experience with industrial low-voltage electrical systems
