We are seeking a Journeyman Carpenter. This position entails the successful completion of various carpentry duties, alongside collaborative efforts with the team to meet the company's aims and aspirations.

What you'll do:
- Assembling pre-built wall, floor, and roof structures.
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, aligning, and installing various construction materials as per specifications and standards.
- Installation of roofing elements and exterior windows and doors.
- Conducting interior work, such as fitting interior doors and casings.
- Estimating material and labor expenses for projects, encompassing costs for labor, wood materials, and fasteners.
- Demonstrating expertise in building materials and selecting suitable products for both interior and exterior applications.
- Collaborating with general contractors, framers, clients, and suppliers to oversee and finalize projects within specified timelines and resource constraints.
- Ensuring the availability of necessary materials and supplies.
- Reading and comprehending basic blueprint layouts.
- Perform all framing, exterior finishing and roofing tasks under limited or no supervision.
- Provide on the job training to others on all tasks and operations; act as an expert in all operations.
- Taking a proactive role in problem-solving sessions and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhering to quality control procedures.
- Maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
- Perform additional duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years experience in residential framing.
- Journeyman Carpenter certification.
- Previous management experience.
- Proficiency in building codes.
- Competency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT software is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Familiarity with both imperial and metric measurement systems.
- Adaptability to changing work environments.
- Physical capability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
