We’re excited to launch a new state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with several large homebuilders within the Greater Calgary Region. Powered by Promise Robotics' transformative production lines for timber-based panelized construction, the new plant enables our group of homebuilding partners to significantly increase the capacity and speed of home production within the fast-growing region of Calgary, AB.
We are looking for a Robotic Operator to be at the center of our production process — operating, monitoring, and maintaining advanced robotic systems used in automated manufacturing. You will ensure that robotic equipment runs efficiently, meets quality standards, and supports our mission to transform the construction industry.
This role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, comfortable with technology, and passionate about innovation.
What you'll do:
- Review Production drawings to ensure they meet the expected quality and accuracy for production.
- Routine operation of robotic equipment with the ability to execute production cycles from end to end, from the designed HMI and/or the robot teach pendants (where applicable), recovering from common faults as required
- Follow, maintain and improve standards of operations in automatic and manual workstations
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest quality standards are met and exceeded.
- Conduct Quality Control on final products and record observations to review with R&D team.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance and efficiency.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements.
- Assist in implementing product roadmap initiatives
- Assist in developing production procedures and standards
- Oversee maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Promote knowledge sharing among team members and departments to foster a culture of learning and growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed:
- College Diploma or University Degree
- Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Experience with industrial robot programming, PLCs, and industrial safety systems is an asset
- Familiarity with prefabrication or modular construction
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized, focused and persistent with the ability to work to the plan and meet delivery dates
- Excellent problem solver and quick learner
