Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery Support

    • Contribute to project tasks and deliverables, ensuring work meets team quality standards

    • Apply coding and design fundamentals with guidance from team leads

    • Track your work against assigned tasks and proactively communicate updates

  • Learning and Growth

    • Build technical proficiency in at least one Guidewire product (e.g., PolicyCenter, BillingCenter)

    • Expand knowledge of P&C insurance operations relevant to our solutions

    • Learn agile project methodologies and participate in agile ceremonies

    • Actively seek feedback and apply it to improve performance

  • Collaboration and Communication

    • Communicate clearly with peers and leads within your team

    • Participate in team activities and help build a positive team culture

    • Share ideas, ask questions, and support others when possible

  • Quality and Accountability

    • Write clean, maintainable code and aim to minimise defects

    • Follow project processes and coding standards

    • Be accountable for your work, timelines, and commitments

KPIs & Success Metrics

  • Task Delivery Timeliness – Completing assigned work on time and to quality standards

  • Defect Rate – Keeping errors or issues introduced during coding to a minimum

  • Skill Development Progress – Demonstrated learning and growth across technical, product, and consulting areas

Key Skills & Experience

  • Some professional experience in software development or consulting

  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming (Java preferred)

  • Strong interest in learning cloud technologies and enterprise software

  • Willingness to work in a collaborative, agile team environment

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work

  • Problem-solving mindset—able to break down issues and ask good questions

  • Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively

  • Openness to feedback and a strong learning mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to or coursework in cloud platforms, web services, or APIs

  • Previous internship or academic project experience with software development

  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies

  • Experience using tools like Git, JIRA, or other development platforms

  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

  • Basic knowledge of P&C (property & casualty) insurance industry concepts

  • Participation in coding competitions, hackathons, or open-source projects

  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills

  • Desire to grow into a client-facing consultant role over time
