Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable application platform solutions that power Guidewire’s cloud offerings.

  • Drive the adoption of AI, and cloud capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and measurable customer value.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new products, enhance platform reliability, and improve service compliance and security.

  • Manage projects that accelerate the delivery of transformative features, including GenAI integration and advanced automation.

What you’ll bring

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated Java mastery and strong object-oriented design skills.

  • Proven experience architecting cloud applications, preferably cloud-native, on modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Demonstrated experience working with AI systems, including integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production software or platforms.

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams in cloud platform or enterprise software environments.

  • Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform security.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing team culture.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience with AI/ML integration, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale platform operations.

  • Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $173,000 - $259,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
