Job Description
What you’ll do
Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact programs on the Data & ML Platform roadmap—from scope and planning through launch and post-release outcomes—ensuring alignment to PDO’s priorities around AI, cloud, and data platform adoption.
Partner with Engineering Pods, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Product Operations, SRE, and Security to design program plans, clarify requirements, manage trade-offs, and keep teams focused on measurable outcomes like reliability, performance, and adoption.
Drive a strong culture of data quality and observability across platform services and ML models, enabling trusted analytics, efficient operations, and reliable AI features for customers.
Identify, manage, and communicate cross-team dependencies and integrations across microservices, distributed systems, and data platforms, proactively mitigating risks and clearing delivery roadblocks.
Implement and refine Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices across teams to improve predictability, transparency, and throughput, while promoting continuous improvement in execution, tooling, and ways of working.
Build and maintain program plans and schedules that clearly highlight milestones, critical paths, risks, and decision points, providing concise, well-structured updates and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Facilitate effective program governance by running cross-functional ceremonies, guiding teams on best practices, and ensuring accountability to PDO’s operational excellence and service reliability goals.
At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.
What you’ll bring
Required
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional software or cloud infrastructure programs in a dynamic environment, with a track record of delivering against clear outcomes.
Strong technical fluency with cloud-native architectures and concepts such as microservices, distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven or data-intensive platforms (experience with AWS and/or Big Data ecosystems is a plus).
Proven experience working closely with engineering and product teams—translating strategy into executable roadmaps, resolving ambiguity, and managing risk and dependencies at scale.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across organizational levels and time zones through clear written, verbal, and visual communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using metrics and dashboards to inform prioritization, trade-offs, and program decisions.
Experience with Agile methods and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha or similar) to drive transparency, reporting, and continuous improvement in delivery.
Ability to operate with resilience and composure in a fast-paced environment, balancing short-term execution needs with longer-term platform and customer value.
Preferred
Experience in data or ML platform environments, working closely with Data Science and Engineering teams to bring models and data products into production.
Background in P&C insurance, financial services, or other complex, highly regulated domains.
Familiarity with SRE, security, and reliability concepts (e.g., SLIs/SLOs, incident management, security and compliance controls) in cloud environments.
Experience using or piloting AI capabilities within project tracking, reporting, or productivity tools to improve forecasting, risk detection, and status communication.
Professional program/project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP, SAFe) or equivalent experience leading large cross-functional programs.
Your Impact
We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first six months, you will take ownership of one or more key Data & ML Platform initiatives that are central to PDO’s FY26 priorities—such as driving adoption of AI-powered capabilities, improving platform reliability, or scaling data infrastructure that supports new product experiences for global customers. You’ll partner with Engineering and Product leaders to define clear objectives, lock in cross-team commitments, establish governance and communication rhythms, and build execution plans that track measurable outcomes like feature adoption, data quality, incident reduction, or time-to-delivery. As you build credibility, you’ll become a go-to leader for orchestrating complex programs that help Guidewire transform how P&C insurers operate—advancing our mission to combine digital, core, analytics, and AI as a cloud service so every customer can realize measurable value and efficiency from our platform.
