Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own and be accountable for key initiatives on the Application Platform teams, driving the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through launch and post-release success

  • Cultivate a culture and collaboration between stakeholders to drive shared context, effective data collection, integration, and utilization

  • Navigate ambiguity and evaluate complex situations, making data-informed decisions and aligning stakeholders to drive toward shared goals

  • Work closely with development, product management, other engineering teams and operations to design, scope, and orchestrate execution

  • Continuously assess and evolve key areas for improvement, implement scalable solutions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement that increases efficiency, execution quality, and team collaboration

  • Identify, manage, and coordinate dependencies and integrations across projects, teams, and systems to ensure smooth execution and alignment

  • Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, adapting to shifting priorities and evolving business needs with composure and focus

  • Facilitate program governance by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing risks, and developing mitigation and contingency plans

  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables throughout the program lifecycle

  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels — through well-structured verbal updates, written summaries, and visual dashboards

  • Lead cross-functional meetings and workshops, while guiding teams on best practices, process adherence, and delivery excellence

  • Build and maintain detailed program and project schedules, highlighting key tasks, milestones, and critical paths across multiple teams

  • Implement and refine Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks across teams to improve predictability and transparency


Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional software development or cloud infrastructure programs in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with interdisciplinary teams leading programs using Cloud technologies, micro services, distributed systems, AWS, Big Data ecosystem concepts

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Aha or other project tracking and reporting tools is a plus

  • Professional Program/Project Management certifications a plus

  • Familiarity with usage of AI capabilities of project tracking and reporting tools is a plus


The Canadian CAD base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000 - $123,000. Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
