About the Role:

As a Software Engineer focused on our embedded systems efforts, you will play a pivotal role expanding the reach and utility of our products. You will bring your past experience with embedded software development to the team, helping us move our products to a variety of embedded systems. Your love of learning and entrepreneurial mindset will be an asset to the team. Your ability to collaborate and approach problems hands-on will be essential for this role. You are excited about joining a friendly and supportive team, where there is ample opportunity to grow.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute to the development our core software stack using Rust
• Lead the migration of our products to embedded systems
• Be a collaborative and transparent team member
• Contribute to the design of the software architecture
• Be technically hands-on, ready to dive into coding, troubleshooting, and developing automated solutions
• Participate in testing new products and features and developing new processes and procedures

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 10+ years of experience as a back-end software engineer, using languages such as Rust, Go, or C/C++
• 5+ years experience doing embedded software development
• Solid understanding of software architecture
• Experience with network programming and communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
• Experience with distributed systems and databases
• Great communication skills
• A strong understanding of security
