Job description
Shaker Recruitment Marketing is now accepting applications for our 2026 Summer Internship Program. Our internship program provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities that will help you build a strong foundation for your future career.
We are seeking a creative/conceptual Design Intern to join our team for 10-weeks in our Oak Park office. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional team members within our Creative department. Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and execute design concepts for digital and print materials (social media, design web pages, email, banners, print ads)
- Collaborate with other designers, art directors, creative directors, copywriters, project managers, and the client service team
- Interpreting client brand guidelines to create visual assets for digital publishing, social media, or other recruitment marketing materials
- Participate in team meetings and attend client meetings
- Manage project files and archive work
Qualifications
- Availability to work 32 hours+/week in our Oak Park office.
- A resume and an online portfolio/URL required.
- Currently pursuing or have received a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or UX design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Working knowledge of Figma and After Effects.
- Strong creativity, an eye for detail, and understanding of design principles (typography, color theory).
- Proficient in Microsoft Cloud software.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn, grow; proactive in asking questions.
