Job description

Shaker Recruitment Marketing is now accepting applications for our 2026 summer internship program. Our internship program provides hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities that will help you build a strong foundation for your future career.

We are seeking a highly organized Copywriting Intern to join our team for 10 weeks in our Oak Park office. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various creative areas, including:

  • Shadowing the senior copywriters on their client work, including assisting in campaign concepting and writing headlines/body copy across web sites, social, banners, and more

  • Collaborate with other designers, art directors, creative director, copywriters, developers, project managers, clients and account teams.

  • Learn how employer brands are developed, participate in brainstorming concepts, and help develop creative assets.

  • This internship offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth and exposure to diverse aspects of Creative and copy operations.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work 32 hours+/week in our Oak Park office

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Creative Writing, Journalism or related program

  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common software applications

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent creative and technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Eagerness to learn, grow and develop; open to taking on new challenges and embracing new ways of thinking.
