JOB SUMMARY
RHF is committed to leadership in conservation and accessible access to outdoor activities. Using a state-of-the-art research and fishing vessel, this program aims to bring together leaders to cultivate relationships, collect data, and educate partners by providing access to an experience on the waters around the lower mainland.
This new role will be instrumental in developing the new Accessible Conservation Program.
The Client Experience Coordinator, Office of Rick Hansen (ORH) is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the fishing and on the water experiences as it relates to the Accessible Conservation Program. In coordination with the Captain and the Relationship Specialist, this position will schedule experiences for clients, ensure appropriate documents and training for clients, and ensure an overall seamless experience for clients interested in the Accessible Conservation Program. They are will steward key relationships, and foster high levels of engagement to ensure successful execution of program goals.
Frequent travel to the various marinas and other locations across Lower Mainland is required. Although the hours are typically Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm PST, this position can expect to work some irregular hours and weekends.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting to the Director, ORH, the Client Experience Coordinator works closely with the Founder, Director, ORH and ORH team, the Captain and the Executive Office. This position liaises both internally and externally with key clients and relationships.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Research and develop an understanding of the Rick Hansen Foundation’s (RHF) key markets and relationships;
- Responsible for all scheduling and administration aspects for on the water experiences and trips;
- Support the Captain as needed (on boat and off);
- Meet and greet guests upon arrival and departure;
- Follow-up on contacts and support the cultivation of ongoing relationships;
- Create, draft and assemble program materials, reports and presentations for clients and internal teams;
- Engage and coordinate with team members to effectively communicate and provide client support to both internal and external clients;
- Carefully track and document all activity in Salesforce;
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality;
- Support with tasks within the ORH team, as needed;
- Work on special projects as required; and
- Perform other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field.
Certification/Designations: None.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related customer service role;
- Proven track record of building and developing customer service relationships;
- Computer experience required, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Previous database (Salesforce) and scheduling software experience an asset;
- Knowledge of issues related to disabilities would be considered an asset;

- A strong ability to adapt and be flexible in a very fast-paced environment.
