Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour

Location: RHF Office in Richmond, Hybrid

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing & Events Coordinator will support the Marketing and Communications team and the Accessible Outdoors team and will perform a wide range of duties for the teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the Marcomm team with ongoing projects aimed at increased efficiency;
  • Liaise with team members for review and feedback, adjust as needed;
  • Assist with administrative projects in the Marcomm team;
  • Ensure RHF brand guidelines are followed in all materials;
  • Prioritize and implement accessible design best practices;
  • Provide design and writing assistance to support the overall brand with a focus on blogs, newsletters, impact stories, promotional materials, and other writing projects as needed;
  • Support administrative tasks such as video editing and saving digital materials;
  • Provide support to our Accessible Outdoor Program (AOP) on-site at the Steveston Marina; meet & greet guests and help provide exceptional guest experience;
  • Handle logistics and catering for AOP programing onboard our accessible vessel; and
  • Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position.

PREFERENCES

An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing and Communication, Event planning, or related field preferred;
  • Proven ability to develop credibility and effective working relationships with staff and other partners;
  • Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills;
  • Computer experience working with MS Office;
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to execute;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • High degree of professionalism, flexibility and adaptability;
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment; and
  • High level of discretion, tact, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.
