Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour

Location: RHF Office in Richmond, BC

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant, Operations will perform a wide range of administrative duties for the Operations team related to office services. They are a part of the Operations team related to office services. They will report to the Manager, Operations, HR & Contracts as well as liaise with all RHF staff, vendors, visitors, couriers and BCIT.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Help sort and distribute incoming mail, as well as collect and record outgoing mail;
  • Stock and organize storage rooms and cabinets;
  • Help arrange staff parking and security passes;
  • Maintain inventories for RHF books, e-store and kitchen supplies;
  • Develop and maintain relevant spreadsheets using MS Excel;
  • Draft documents and basic communication materials;
  • Filing and records management;
  • Coordinate stationary orders and fill supply requests as requested;
  • Support with special projects as needed;
  • Help place maintenance requests with vendors and building management as needed; and
  • Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position.

PREFERENCES

An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.

  • Post-secondary education an asset;
  • Proven ability to develop credibility and effective working relationships with staff and other partners;
  • Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills;
  • Experience working with MS Office;
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to execute;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Proven skill with proactively finding efficiencies, identifying issues and bringing forward ideas and solutions;
  • High degree of professionalism, flexibility and adaptability;
  • Strict adherence to maintaining confidentiality and privacy; and
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
