About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

Rippling is entering a new era — one where builders inside and outside our company are using our platform to create entirely new ways to run a business.

We’re hiring a Platform Storytelling Manager to tell that story.

Our platform is both all-in-one and infinitely flexible. It gives companies the power to run their entire business in one system — and the freedom to build custom apps, automations, and workflows that fit the edges of how they really operate.

From no-code tools to Rippling’s infrastructure-level app studio, we’re helping customers design solutions that make their businesses run faster. Sometimes that means building from scratch; sometimes it means taking something repeatable and productizing it for everyone.

This role will capture and amplify that innovation — the builders, engineers, and HR operators using Rippling to solve problems once considered “too custom” to scale. You’ll create stories, videos, and frameworks that show what’s possible when business leaders and developers build on Rippling.

It’s a new muscle for Rippling — part developer marketing, part brand storytelling, part product education — and you’ll help shape it from the ground up.

You’ll work across Product Marketing, Brand, Engineering, and GTM teams to tell the story of a platform where whatever you can dream of, you can build.

What you will do

  • Highlight the builders. Tell the story of how Rippling customers are achieving results with Rippling.
  • Create the “Rippling on Rippling” series. Interview internal Ripplers to show how Rippling teams use our own App Studio to run operations better — from HR to Marketing.
  • Collaborate across functions. Partner with Product Marketing, Brand, and Engineering to source stories, validate technical accuracy, and package them for multiple formats (blogs, videos, newsletters, PR).
  • Make data human. Produce stories, frameworks, and explainers that help leaders understand why unified data is foundational to AI and automation — and how Rippling solves it.
  • Own a consistent publishing cadence. Manage an editorial calendar that feeds Rippling+, PR, and social channels with stories that connect product innovation to customer outcomes.

What you will need

  • 5-7 years of experience in content strategy, product storytelling, or editorial roles at a SaaS or enterprise tech company.
  • Proven ability to turn technical or data-heavy concepts into clear, accessible stories.
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts and distilling insights into compelling, high-production content.
  • Strong collaboration skills with product, engineering, and brand teams.
  • Strategic thinker who can spot storylines that reinforce company positioning.
  • Curiosity about how things work — from AI and automation to data architecture.
  • Excellent writing chops, creative instincts, and a high bar for clarity and craft.

What success looks like

First 90 days:

  • Develop a content roadmap that connects Rippling’s platform narrative to our community and brand.
  • Launch the first “Rippling on Rippling” story and identify 3–5 future internal builders to feature.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to define messaging pillars around data, automation, and AI.

Long Term Impact:

  • Establish Rippling as the definitive voice on why data integrity matters in modern business systems.
  • Build a library of customer and builder stories that make our platform tangible and differentiated.
  • Create the content foundation for PR, demand gen, and executive storytelling around Rippling’s innovation.
