About the role
We are looking for a Localization Lead to drive and scale our AI-driven translation platform and localization strategy. This candidate will own our MT & LLM translation pipelines and our translation quality programs to simultaneously improve localization quality and efficiency. They will pursue innovative initiatives as the advancement of LLM technology unlocks new possibilities. This candidate will have the opportunity to lead a small, scrappy team while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, local market teams, and localization vendors.
What you will do
- Own the strategy for high-quality, automated translation workflows across more than a dozen different languages, driving our processes for machine & human translation and reviews
- Lead the development of scalable translation quality measurement
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve language quality, like term glossaries, automated source content review and context injection
- Drive the introduction of translation pipelines that extend beyond Rippling product & marketing content, to include customer-generated content
What you will need
- 7+ years of experience in technical program management, business operations, or localization management
- Expertise in applying AI tools, machine translation, or LLMs to improve localization workflows
- Self-starter with a bias towards action and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal communication & organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best work
- Strong alignment with Rippling's leadership principles, particularly 'Push the limits of possible', 'Go and see' and 'Are right, a lot'
