About the role
As a Financial Risk Analytics Sr. Analyst, you will be a vital team member of the Financial Risk Analytics organization, responsible for the operational efficiency and integrity of our core risk management processes. You will focus on the data, execution, and reporting cycles that enable the team to perform advanced analytics and forecasting. This role is highly focused on supporting the overall risk analytics function through process excellence and data management. You will report directly to the Financial Risk Analytics Team Lead.
What you will do
- Process Execution & Support: Execute established, recurring risk management analytics processes, including data ingestion, model input preparation, and report generation cycles, ensuring timely completion.
- Data Integrity and Governance: Own the day-to-day data quality checks and validation processes for all data feeds critical to risk analytics and financial forecasting.
- Reporting Support: Support the generation of routine risk reporting (MIS) and multi-taxonomy reports by pulling data, validating figures, and ensuring consistency across various reporting outputs for senior stakeholders.
- Dashboard Maintenance: Assist the team in maintaining and updating automated analytics dashboards, troubleshooting data issues, and ensuring reports reflect accurate, up-to-date risk performance.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all operational processes, data flows, and reporting procedures to ensure continuity and compliance.
- Team Enablement: Support business strategists and data scientists by fulfilling ad-hoc data requests, performing system queries, and assisting with the operational aspects of model execution.
What you will need
- 2+ years of experience in a data operations, business process, or analytical support role, ideally within financial services, FinTech, or a highly regulated environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, extracting, and validating data.
- Hands-on experience with process documentation and improvement, and a strong detail-oriented approach to data quality.
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and basic scripting/automation is a plus.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and support multiple analytical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience in risk management, finance, or accounting operations (e.g., supporting CECL/IFRS 9 processes).
- Familiarity with financial reporting cycles and requirements.
- Experience with a version control system (e.g., Git) for code/process versioning.
