Rippling is looking for a highly-motivated and proactive Compliance Testing Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering Rippling’s compliance monitoring and testing program across our regulated products. This role will act as a trusted partner to the Head of Compliance Testing, helping drive quality, consistency, and judgment across the testing function. You will partner closely with our Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Product and Engineering teams to execute specific projects for our assurance program of our key programs. That’s where you come in. The Compliance Testing Senior Analyst will be responsible for conducting compliance tests to ensure the company adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves working independently in analyzing data and processes to identify risks and gaps in the operational compliance processes, and offering thoughts on improvements, particularly to processes and controls within the product offerings of Rippling.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys operating as a senior individual contributor with leadership influence, and who is comfortable acting as a sounding board on complex compliance and testing matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Compliance Testing to define the annual review plans and ensure their timely execution.
- Conduct Compliance Testing: Be a self starter and perform regular compliance testing on various processes, transactions, and systems to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Identify and Report Issues: Identify compliance issues and risks through testing activities, and prepare detailed reports on findings. Recommend corrective actions and monitor their implementation.
- Policy and Procedure Review: Review and evaluate company policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations.
- Testing Methods: Assist in creating and maintaining repeatable test scripts and documentation that align with compliance obligations, ensuring quality and consistency across regions. Be the lead on data management and analysis for testing purposes.
- Collaboration/Stakeholder Management: Work closely with various departments to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance requirements. Provide guidance and support in implementing compliance measures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance testing activities and findings.
- Governance: Partner with the Head of Compliance Testing on management and board-level reporting, including synthesising themes, trends, and emerging risks.
- Compliance Risk Assessments: Bonus if you also have experience of undertaking or supporting compliance risk assessments used to build annual testing plans.
- Deputy Coverage: Act as a point of escalation on complex testing matters, support prioritisation decisions, and provide continuity of coverage during periods of peak demand or absence.
You have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance testing, auditing, or a related field, and demonstrates experience reviewing work, coaching junior testers, and raising the overall quality and consistency of a testing function.. (Experience in FinTech, payments, lending, and money transmission regulatory compliance is a huge plus).
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the industry. Familiarity with compliance frameworks and best practices.
