Your education and experiences will have prepared you to participate in and contribute to the following:
- Running and orchestrating one or more technical projects simultaneously, including coordinating, planning, and tracking the progress of individuals and teams for various projects.
- Aligning development team activities with client and resource management.
- Providing technical mentorship where needed and conducting regular check-ins with team members on the project to ensure a solid support system.
- Developing project design and delivery framework, timelines and tracking milestones and deadlines.
- Managing customer experience as needed, including daily communications, scheduling touchpoints, presentations during touchpoints and final delivery, which can include preparing data/results, sharing documents, and customer follow-up.
- Regular check-ins with the project team.
- Bringing in projects at or under budget through efficient project scoping, scheduling and resourcing while ensuring re-usability/versatility of models.
- Guiding modelling efforts, and providing direct technical help with modelling and programming where needed to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Validating and verifying results, as well as quality assurance of models, synthetic data, visual assets, final deliverables, etc.
- Conduct research and develop science-based models and translate research into validated and verified models.
- Prepare, deliver, and communicate project results and insights to inform critical policies and planning for customers.
- Work with various teams and initiatives to design, create, and finalize model environments that exceed customer expectations and deliver successfully.
- Provide education and promote public awareness through company media, such as project use cases, LinkedIn posts, etc.
- Contribute to team building and company education initiatives.
Who You Are:
- You have completed your education (advanced education an asset) in a scientific or engineering discipline or have equivalent experience.
- You have experience with leading projects for teams with diverse backgrounds (computer science, engineering, social science, science, mathematics, data science).
- You provide thoughtful and clear feedback to project members and remain curious and humble while brainstorming new ideas.
- You meticulously and creatively manage projects and team activities to keep work within budget.
- You are a big-picture thinker who thrives in an ambiguous environment.
- You are comfortable presenting project results and insights to customers and skilled at answering technical questions for non-technical audiences.
- You are a flexible team player, actively helping other team members.
- You are a quick learner interested in meeting new people, making new connections, and acquiring new skill competencies.
- You can adapt to challenging timelines and be flexible to the shifting needs of a fast-paced environment.
- Collaboration and transparent communication are valuable to you as a team member.
- You are willing to share skills and knowledge and work closely with other team members.
