Who We Are

At RWI, we’re reimagining what’s possible by tackling some of the world’s most significant challenges - disaster readiness, decarbonization, sustainable growth, and inclusive communities. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and contribute to innovative projects that deliver real-world impact.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Combine creativity and technical expertise to tell compelling stories with data.
  • Participate in team education, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.
  • Run and orchestrate one or more technical projects simultaneously, including coordinating, planning and tracking the progress of individuals and teams for various projects.

  • Provide technical mentorship where needed and conduct regular check-ins with team members on the project to ensure a solid support system.
  • Develop project design and delivery framework, timelines and tracking milestones and deadlines.
  • Manage customer experience as needed - daily communications, touchpoints, presentations and final delivery.
  • Bring projects at or under budget through efficient project scoping, scheduling and resourcing with RWI’s Program Manager - all while ensuring re-usability/versatility of models.
  • Guide modelling efforts by providing direct technical help with modelling and programming where needed to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Validate and verify results, as well as quality assurance of models, synthetic data, visual assets, final deliverables, etc.
  • Conduct research and develop science-based models and translate research into validated and verified models.
  • Prepare, deliver and communicate project results and insights.
  • Work with various teams to design, create and finalize model environments.
  • Contribute to team building and company education initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Completed education (advanced education an asset) in a scientific or engineering discipline OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with leading projects for teams with diverse backgrounds (computer science, engineering, social science, science, mathematics, data science).
  • Ability to provide thoughtful and clear feedback to project members and remain curious and humble while brainstorming new ideas.
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations to address delivery disruptions and scope creep.
  • Meticulous and creative project management skills that promote team activities that fit within the provided budget.
  • Presentation skills - you are comfortable presenting project results and insights to customers and skilled at answering technical questions for non-technical audiences.
  • Project design experience - ability to understand the client needs first and design the project backwards from there.
