HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE

Human Resources Representative assists in the development, execution and monitoring of Human Resources programs, policies and processes that enable Slice to attract and retain top talent and meet applicable employment legislation. Key responsibility areas include:

• Ownership of the employee lifecycle management, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, performance management, training and development, terminations, and offboarding.
• Support the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals, values, and vision.
• Coordinates benefits administration and collaborates with Payroll for processing.
• Manage employee relationships by working with the leadership team in all employee matters.
• Recruitment of various positions as well as managing co-op hiring processes.
• Establish the policies and compliance setup for labor laws, health, and safety.
• Maintain HR information systems (HRIS) and employee records, ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and confidentiality.

You bring:

• At least two years experience in a similar generalist role
• Proven written and verbal communication skills that display your ability to listen and respond effectively
• High ethical standards that enable you to treat confidential information and employee issues with the greatest of sensitivity
• Strong knowledge of provincial employment standards
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and execution of HR programs and processes
• Technologically proficient and familiarity with Cloud based software tools
• Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, HRPA designation

We are based in Ottawa and offer the flexibility to work from home, or our office. Although we embrace remote work, we believe in-person interactions are essential. We conduct onboarding sessions and organize regular in-person events and meetings, currently with one scheduled day in the office per week.
