About Sprout

At Sprout, our mission is to make fertility and family-building accessible to all Canadians, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, or family structure. The journey to parenthood can be emotionally, physically, and financially challenging, and too many people go through it without the support they need.

Nearly half the Canadian workforce is in peak family-building years, yet most benefits plans weren't built for this journey. The toll shows up at work - in attrition, lost productivity, and added HR burden. Sprout is one platform that supports people through the full continuum, from the moment they start thinking about family-building to their first day back at work.

We’ve just closed our seed round and are expanding the platform, growing the team, and deepening our partnerships across the benefits industry. The people we hire now will play a pivotal role in shaping Sprout’s future.

The role

This is a new role, and a new function, at Sprout. Many of the most important problems in our business sit across ops, GTM, and product, and don't fit neatly into any one person's mandate. We're looking for a BizOps Lead to take them on.

The common thread in this role is that you'll own the problem, not just the analysis. You'll take something from 'we think this might be an opportunity' through research and a recommendation, and then help make it happen. On any given week, that might mean sizing a new product opportunity, joining a customer call to understand why something isn’t working, building a new pricing model or automating invoicing. You’ll research, design, and build processes, transition them to the right owners, then move on to the next challenge.

We’re looking for someone who does their best work early, when things are still taking shape, and there isn’t a playbook or framework. If you excel here, you’ll have a path to leading a function as Sprout grows.

What you’ll do

  • Own high-priority, cross-functional problems: work with product, GTM, and member experience on challenges that don't have an obvious owner. You'll find what's slowing us down and bring structure where it's needed.
  • Build how we measure the business: define the metrics that matter and build our reporting from the ground up. That includes business performance, product metrics, and the utilization reporting we share with customers and partners.
  • Test new ideas before we build them: develop the business case for new products, segments, and partnerships, and run small pilots to learn what works before we commit significant time and resources.
  • Design our operating stack: use the best tools and systems to get the job done, from spreadsheets and CRM data to AI, no-code tools, and conversations with customers.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who is high-agency, intellectually curious and comfortable getting their hands dirty.

  • Have 4-6 years of experience, ideally in an early-stage startup, BizOps, Chief of Staff or founding-team role. The background matters less than the evidence that you can figure stuff out and get it done.
  • You've built something from zero before, whether a process, program, product, or function.
  • You're strong with numbers, including financial modelling and messy data. SQL is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • You demonstrate strong judgment when evaluating if something needs a deep dive or 'good enough, let's test it' is the right answer to learn quickly
  • You use AI every day to research, analyze, and work more efficiently, and you're always looking for ways to use it better
  • You’re low-ego about the work and are equally happy developing strategy or running reports for partners if that's what the business needs
  • You're curious and passionate about family-building, healthcare, and the future of work. No industry experience is needed. We'll teach you the insurance and benefits landscape

How we work

  • Remote-first in Canada - work from anywhere in Canada, with access to our Toronto office
  • Async-friendly and outcome-focused - we care about what you accomplish, not whether you're online at a particular time
  • Small team with high ownership - you'll work closely with the founders and have visibility into almost every part of the company
  • Low ego, high standards - we care deeply about the quality of the work, but nobody is above doing the unglamorous parts
  • We use Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, HubSpot, GitHub and Linear to collaborate

What we offer

  • Competitive compensation + stock options: you'll have comprehensive health and wellness benefits, plus meaningful ownership in the company you're helping build
  • Unlimited vacation: we trust you to manage your time and take the time you need
  • Remote flexible: work from home or use our downtown Toronto office
  • Impactful work: your work will directly influence what Sprout builds, how we operate and where we go next

We aren’t just building a company; we’re creating a world where family-building is accessible to everyone. If you want to lead at the intersection of technology, health, and deeply human experiences, we’d love to meet you.
