We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Enterprise Data Office to join our Corporate IT & Operations team. This is a new role, where a successful candidate will leverage the current Enterprise Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence tools, and resources across the company to centrally define, build and unify a strategic design and implementation of a global Enterprise Data Office. You’ll have the opportunity to source and hire a Data team.
This role requires a deep technical understanding of data management and hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as Snowflake and ThoughtSpot. You will partner with the business reporting teams to gather their data requirements and translate those into business intelligence solutions. In addition, you are responsible for the extraction and analysis of data from a variety of sources and ensuring the data warehouse technical architecture is scalable and efficient. You will establish a cross-functional enterprise data program, data/BI intake request process, and prioritized roadmap that enables stakeholders to create reports and dashboards that deliver business insights and improved decision-making. Lastly, you will champion a data governance and master data management program to define a foundational data architecture and definitions that will scale across departments as the company grows.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead the Data and Analytics technology and organization strategy and enterprise data architecture to support the company’s vision and goals for a unified, trusted analytics-driven culture.
- Build, lead, and coach a data team, providing technical leadership and strategic direction as well as encouraging their technical development and performance.
- Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to identify data needs, maintain a prioritized rolling project roadmap, and provide data-related solutions.
- Implement data warehouse solutions, data models, master data management best practices, security/RBAC standards, and processes.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and privacy in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead delivery and adoption of business user self-service report visualization tools and optimize end users’ ThoughtSpot report/databoard creation best practices, performance and usability.
- Lead vendor management of applicable technologies to ensure we drive adoption and harness the full value of our data solutions and tools.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in data intelligence, architecture, and governance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with applicable business teams to ensure smooth deployment, integration of enterprise source systems.
- Develop and implement data governance and data management frameworks.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Proven experience in a senior data architect role leading Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects, managing IT resources, and overseeing operations within a high-growth, technology/SaaS environment
- Strong proficiency in data warehousing and data modeling, SQL, ETL/ELT, data integrations, Snowflake and ThoughtSpot data/BI visualization tools.
- Proven experience as a Snowflake Architect with hands-on experience implementing data solutions on the Snowflake cloud data platform.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and coach a team of direct reports.
- Experience designing and troubleshooting dashboards for business teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels of the company and inform, educate, and influence managers and employees to support data governance and business intelligence goals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or related field.
