We have an exciting opportunity in the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) with its mandate to serve the business leaders and stakeholders at StackAdapt with trusted data, standard reporting frameworks, and tools, and governed reporting and self-service analytics. Reporting to the Staff BI Architect, the Junior Enterprise BI Developer will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and administration of reports and dashboards leveraging the Business Intelligence (BI) platforms managed by the EDO, such as Tableau and ThoughtSpot.

The Junior Enterprise BI Developer will assist in building official KPI reports and dashboards requested by various business departments, leveraging the business-friendly BI semantic models developed by the BI Architect. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn and grow within enterprise BI while contributing to meaningful business analytics initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

This role will support the development of centralized Business Intelligence reports and dashboards, and assist with the maintenance and administration of these BI assets including:

  • Develop reports and dashboards in Tableau and ThoughtSpot based on specifications from the BI Architect and Senior BI Developers
  • Assist in developing intermediate data structures such as views and materialized views in Snowflake that will be sourced for reports and dashboards
  • Support the maintenance and evolution of semantic models built with tools like dbt or Cube.js
  • Write and optimize SQL queries in Snowflake to support reporting requirements
  • Assist in testing and quality assurance of BI assets before production deployment
  • Help maintain documentation for BI assets, semantic models, and reporting processes
  • Support business users with basic reporting questions and self-service analytics needs
  • Participate in troubleshooting production issues under the guidance of senior team members
  • Contribute to the setup and monitoring of scheduled reports and dashboard refreshes
  • Learn and apply data visualization best practices to create clear, effective dashboards

Within the first 6 months in the role, a successful candidate will obtain a solid understanding of the StackAdapt data and reporting environment including the EDO Snowflake platform and existing BI assets. Successfully build, deploy, and support at least three light-complexity reports/dashboards for the business with guidance from senior team members.

Performance in this role will be evaluated on learning agility, quality of work delivered, ability to work independently on assigned tasks, and responsiveness to feedback from senior team members and business users.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 1-2 years of experience in BI development or analytics roles
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau and/or ThoughtSpot
  • Solid SQL skills with experience writing queries in Snowflake (e.g., joins, aggregations, CTEs, window functions)
  • Exposure to or basic experience with semantic modeling tools such as dbt or Cube.js
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design basics
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with both Tableau and ThoughtSpot
  • Knowledge of Git for version control
  • Exposure to data modeling concepts (star schema, dimensional modeling)
  • Basic understanding of BI platform administration and user access management
  • Experience supporting business users or working in a client-facing capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
