Regional Clinical Manager

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Clinical Manager (RCM) in the United States, and this role is essential to the success and growth of the Clinical Applications Team. You will be representing Synaptive at all our accounts in the US and the primary responsibility of the RCM will be to hire, develop, oversee, and manage a highly effective clinical support team to consistently drive business objectives and customer satisfaction across their accounts.

What You’ll Do

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Routinely meet with team to engage and develop an ambitious team of professionals
  • Coordinate team to uphold company standards of excellence and service, while efficiently managing resources
  • Drive capital opportunities by leveraging your team’s clinical expertise.
  • Organize and implement training programs for new and existing staff
  • Oversee and support strategic objectives at all regional accounts
  • Communicate and enforce company standards, directives, and policies
  • Manage communication between corporate headquarters, field-based teams, key accounts, and KOL’s
  • Take leadership in communicating company policy, plans, and outcomes to customer sites when needed
  • Recommend and lead changes to policies, processes and procedures that improve the effectiveness and productivity of the clinical organization

Clinical Responsibilities

In addition to the managerial responsibilities above, the RCM will also contribute to key clinical activities to support customers regionally and nationally.

  • Clinical support of Synaptive technologies inside and outside of the operating room
  • Deliver Synaptive product training to surgeons and hospital staff
  • Support and demonstrate the use of Synaptive technology at medical education, PR & marketing, and sales events
  • Support clinical sales evaluations of Synaptive products at new accounts
  • Represent Synaptive at trade shows and exhibitions
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and service efforts in collaboration with the field service team
  • Provide customer feedback to Synaptive design and engineering teams
  • Work with hospital IT staff to test/enable connectivity in the OR
  • Other related tasks as necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
  • Travel up to 60%, occasionally on short notice

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years’ experience in the medical device industry or environment
  • Ability to travel on short notice
  • A valid US or Canadian passport

It’d Be Amazing If You Had

  • Prior experience with training on use and applications for medical equipment
  • Imaging and intra-operative modality experience
  • Experience working with medical device software, PACS, DICOM, and hospital IT
  • Experience with Optics, Navigation and Robotics

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to bring customer satisfaction situations to a successful outcome in a timely manner
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills in solving dynamic challenges within a large field-based team
  • Professional and effective presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and make independent decisions while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to work within hospital environment and adapt to changing plans and circumstances
  • Strong customer service skillset
  • Self-directed and results oriented
  • Ability and desire to learn to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Cooperative and collaborative team player
  • Motivated to work with other departments and improve our products
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are a must

Special Requirements

To perform the duties of this position, the employee must be able to: hear and speak; see at changing focus distances; sit, stand, and walk; reach with arms; use hands to hold, feel, and manipulate objects; lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
