In support of SickKids 2025 and future strategies, SickKids' Enterprise Strategy team is looking for a dynamic Project Manager who can balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively with patients, families, staff, and partners to support strategy development and execution, and to manage high-impact strategic projects. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Strategy, the successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced, team-oriented environment helping to shape the future of paediatric research, education, care, and operations at SickKids and beyond.

Here is What You'll Get to Do:

  • Work closely with project sponsors, executive leads, and stakeholders to support implementation and operationalization of key initiatives (project tracking, project management support, consultation).
  • Plan and facilitate strategy development including but not limited to stakeholder engagement (e.g., interviews, focus groups, survey, etc.), quantitative and qualitative data collection, environmental scanning and literature reviews, and synthesis.
  • Support portfolio leaders with translation of strategy to implementation plans including the development of objectives using the Balanced Scorecard and/or Objectives and Key Results (OKR) frameworks, ensuring alignment with SickKids corporate priorities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of multi-year implementation plans including tracking Balanced Scorecard activities, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), institutional KPIs, and milestones.
  • Engage with stakeholders across strategic priorities and projects to track progress and results, identify interdependencies, and ensure aligned strategy execution.
  • Establish budgets and financial models to support strategy execution and implementation of strategic projects.
  • Provide organizational support for developing and implementing key governance structures (drafting reports/updates, managing lifecycle of working groups/committees, etc.).
  • Develop efficient and effective systems to provide organizational support to the Enterprise Strategy team, Senior Management, Steering Committees, and other governance structures.
  • Develop and utilize analytics tools to track strategic projects and report key information to stakeholders.
  • Support the development of business cases and funding/grant proposals to advance strategic aims
  • Draft strategy updates for internal and external audiences (Executive Committees, Senior Management, etc.).
  • Promote collaborative approaches to problem solving across disciplines, partners, and institutions, fostering a trusting and respectful environment.
  • Stay abreast of global paediatric academic health sciences strategies, technologies, and initiatives.

Here is What You'll Need:

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in software programs for tracking metrics, project planning, and budget projections (Microsoft Office)
  • Understanding of relational databases and comfortable using analytics programs (PowerBI)
  • Familiarity with the healthcare system and the role of research in academic institutions
  • Strong ability to approach new concepts, problem solve, and synthesize ideas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as proficiency in communication arts (visual decks, infographics, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion

Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree in related field (Masters Level)
  • PMP Certification an asset
  • Proven track record of managing projects and leading project teams.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in project or program management within the healthcare sector (pharmaceutical/ biotechnology/life science industry, hospital/academic health sciences institutions, etc.)
