About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of continuing medical education (CME) programs and related content, ensuring delivery against defined timelines, scope, budget, and quality standards. This role serves as the operational lead on assigned projects, driving coordination across internal and external stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on executional excellence, client satisfaction and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of CME programs, ensuring delivery aligned to scope, timelines, budget, strategic objectives, and quality standards.
- Translate program objectives into structured project plans, managing timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and workflows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including faculty, medical writers, accrediting bodies, and sponsors.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, eLearning, Operations) to ensure aligned and efficient program execution.
- Manage core project components, including timeline tracking, budget management, client communication, accreditation submissions, and content development processes.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or delays, and implement solutions to maintain momentum and delivery timelines.
- Support financial oversight by tracking project costs, maintaining alignment to budgets, and contributing to revenue recognition and gross margin targets.
- Provide clear, concise, and proactive status updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and key decisions.
- Identify and resolve project challenges in a timely, collaborative manner, escalating when appropriate while maintaining ownership of outcomes.
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with established processes, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements to workflows and team efficiency.
Qualifications
The role requires an individual with strong written and verbal communication skills who is dynamic, organized, and professional. Successful candidates will be able to interact with stakeholders at all levels and influence stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome. The ability to multi-task and independently move projects forward daily according to timelines is key, as is a great attitude. Specific requirements include:
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams, effectively balancing and prioritizing competing objectives to achieve shared goals.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and drive project success.
- Detail-oriented and quality-first approach, ensuring accuracy in all project and operational tasks
- Specific experience in the continuing medical education space, healthcare industry-related roles, pharmaceutical marketing, and/or pharmaceutical advertising industries is an asset
This is a full-time, remote position with an expected salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Think Research does not require Canadian work experience for this role.
Think Research may use artificial intelligence–enabled tools to support parts of the recruitment process, such as application screening or candidate matching. These tools are used to assist — not replace — human decision-making.
