Position Description
The Toronto Region Board of Trade is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager, Marketing & Digital to join our Communications & Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications and Marketing, this role will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive revenue, strengthen advocacy outcomes, and enhance the Board’s brand reputation.
This position will oversee the marketing of our marquee Board events and support the promotion of World Trade Centre Toronto (WTC-T) programs, with a strong focus on digital-first campaigns that engage members, attract new audiences, and deliver measurable impact. The Senior Manager will supervise one direct report and manage critical vendor relationships, while working closely with colleagues across policy, events, membership, sponsorship, and WTC teams.
Role Description:
- Develop and lead strategic marketing campaigns that support event revenue, sponsorship visibility, membership acquisition and retention, and WTC program growth.
- Own the Board’s digital marketing strategy, with emphasis on email marketing, web, SEO, and paid digital campaigns.
- Oversee campaign planning and execution from strategy through delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with policy, events, membership, sponsorship, and WTC teams to design and implement effective marketing strategies and plans.
- Manage vendor relationships, including digital, creative, and web partners, to deliver campaigns on time and on budget.
- Supervise and mentor one direct report, including the management of the Board’s website, ensuring effective content management, optimization, and user experience across digital platforms.
- Establish KPIs and regular reporting frameworks; analyze and optimize performance across campaigns and channels.
- Collaborate with the policy team to leverage partner and stakeholder channels to amplify reach and drive greater visibility for Board programs and advocacy campaigns.
- Ensure consistent application of brand identity and messaging across all owned, earned, and paid channels.
Your experience includes:
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in marketing and digital strategy (5+ if exceptional).
- Strong track record of developing and delivering multi-channel campaigns that drive revenue, engagement, and brand awareness.
- Experience in B2B or membership-based organizations an asset; candidates from all sectors welcome.
- Deep understanding of digital channels and platforms, with hands-on experience in campaign management, performance analytics, and optimization.
- Comfortable managing budgets, vendors, and reporting on ROI.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from strategy through execution while balancing big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to craft compelling content for different audiences and platforms.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, SEO/SEM, paid social platforms, and marketing automation platforms preferred.
