Position Description
The Toronto Region Board of Trade is seeking a Senior Manager of Member & Partner Success, to support the Board’s membership & partnership revenue strategy. Reporting to Senior Director, Sales & Engagement, this role is responsible for maintaining value-oriented relationships with members & partners and providing unique and tailored experience that supports the advancement of our members’ business objectives. This role is built for someone who thrives in a fast-paced association or membership environment, can translate policy, advocacy, thought leadership events, and member programs into business outcomes, and can confidently engage senior leaders to deepen commitment, renewals, and strategic expansion.. We are looking for an individual with a dynamic personality who can build rapport with members and manage key relationships.
Role Description:
- Manage a book of current members with a strong focus on service, retention, and growth.
- Achieve ambitious monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and key performance indicators for existing members. This will also include acquiring net new members and engaging with lapsed members.
- Collaborate across all internal teams to ensure the highest level of product and policy knowledge, enhance the member experience, and ensure a seamless member transition to on-going engagement.
- Expand the member experience by working closely with members to identify their business goals and match them with the appropriate Board assets to help them achieve those objectives.
- Uncover and understand the unique business objectives of current and prospective members and translate those goals into relevant membership offerings through tailored solutions and engagement strategies. Provide ongoing member solutions by leveraging the Board’s many assets, including events and programs, business services, amenities, and products.
- Navigate a room of executives, government officials and other stakeholders with professionalism and confidence.
- Attend Board events to network with prospects and support strong member relationships, as well as external trade shows and events to network with prospects and build Board awareness and profile across the GTA.
- Manage a large volume of activities, often with conflicting deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail, and sensitivity to member needs.
Your experience includes:
- 5 years of experience in an account management role within a B2B environment. Experience in a membership-based offering is ideal.
- Demonstrated ability to sell offerings such as membership, sponsorship, advisory services, or mission driven programs and connecting to clear business outcomes.
- Experience in a CRM-driven environment, including generation and implementation of data analytics.
- Experience in data-driven sales environment.
- Demonstrated experience building client relationships and driving experiences through your customers.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to senior executives and team members.

This role has an annual salary plus commission.
