Manager, Communications (Member Engagement)

Position Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Editorial Strategy and Content, this position is a subject matter expert responsible for Member Experience and Communications. The Manager, Communications (Member Experience) will be accountable for monitoring and delivering on the Board’s member experience and work to develop and publish content that highlights the benefits of being a member of the Toronto Region Board of Trade and engages our membership to drive satisfaction and retention. The position works closely with the Communications, Membership, Sponsorship, World Trade Centre Toronto and Events teams.
Role Description:
- Member storytelling:
- develops and implements strategy for capturing, producing and distributing profiles, success stories, testimonials, and case studies in video, audio or print/online
- Writes and designs content for member e-newsletter; managing layout and dissemination using Click Dimensions or other email Marketing Software
- Writes promotional copy for web, digital, and print materials, as well as creating presentations for stakeholders
- Collaborates with departments to develop profiles and other editorial products to highlight and promote the programs, partners and participants
- Collaborates on the performance of the Board’s email program including automation, personalization, segmentation, timing and reporting
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce effective promotional materials
- Collaborates on the development and management of internal marketing & communications calendar
- Obtaining necessary consent and providing final approval on collateral, products and promotions
- Developing schedules and maintaining deadlines
- Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of website content standards, search engine optimization, website updates and social media
- Enforcing brand standards and guidelines
- Implementing and measuring success of member engagement campaigns
Your experience includes:
- Minimum 5 years Marketing/Communications experience
- Post-secondary training in communications, marketing, business, or related field
- Preferred technical experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics), eMail Marketing Software (ClickDimensions), design (Canva), web (Kentico), social media (LinkedIn, Instagram), project management (Microsoft Planner).
- Proven experience in creating content to engage target audiences
- Demonstrated adaptability, effective collaboration skills, drive for results
- Demonstrated experience in leading the end-to-end execution of marketing and engagement strategies to advance an organization’s mission and goals
- Excellent persuasive communication skills
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and staff
- Operates as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker, with an appreciation for brand identity and love of great copy

Compensation & Benefits
TRBOT is committed to fair, equitable pay that matches the responsibility and expertise behind every role.
This role has an annual salary range of $75,000-$110,000.
