Position Summary:

Trulioo is looking for a thoughtful, strategic, and hands-on VP, People & Culture who will play a critical role in driving the company’s people strategy and fostering a vibrant and inclusive culture. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the entire people function at Trulioo including people operations, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. You will lead and coach the P&C team to execute repeatable programs, processes, and initiatives to support the growth and success of our diverse workforce and deepen the connection to our values.

You will support our global teams across Canada, the US, APAC & EMEA. This is a full-time hybrid position in our Vancouver HQ, within walking distance from shops, restaurants, and public transit.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global People & HR strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals
  • Lead and manage the P&C team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
  • Combine a data-driven approach and strong project management skills to launch, evaluate, and enhance people programs, policies and procedures
  • Drive talent management initiatives including career development, succession planning, and employee retention strategies
  • Collaborate with leadership to design and implement compensation and benefit programs
  • Lead efforts to maintain an inclusive culture that values diversity, collaboration, innovation and mutual respect
  • Develop and deliver effective training programs to enhance leadership and employee skills
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations - you maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices
  • Regularly analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Operate with autonomy and discretion. A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement

You have:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources with 5+ years in a senior HR leadership position
  • Experience in a dynamic global operations environment
  • In-depth knowledge across all general areas of HR, including Organizational Design, Workforce Planning, Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Experience, Talent and Performance Management, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and Employment Law
  • Experience in a start-up and/or growth stage technology company preferred
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

Preferred: Degree in HR Management and/or CPHR or equivalent
