Position Summary
UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN’s growing demand for data and data-driven insights, and helps TeamUHN ensure the needs of the patients come first. Our collective goal is to enable UHN in transformative, measurable and data-informed healthcare improvement.

Within UHN Data & Analytics, the Data Strategy, Governance & Analytics Team seeks to improve UHN’s understanding of its data as a competitive differentiator, and enable UHN to become a data-driven and insight-enabled learning health system that effectively manages and drives value from its data assets.

The Team is also responsible for establishing organizational data governance, advancing data literacy, and enabling UHN to develop advanced analytical capabilities that inform and support its strategic pursuits in care, discovery, and learning.

Duties

  • Advance TeamUHN's use of data through creative and innovative solutions.
  • Transform healthcare through the utilization of project management and change management best practice and have experience with organizational change and transformational initiatives.
  • Manage multiple complex priorities and assignments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with cross-sectional stakeholders.
  • Understand how a hospital and/or information management environment functions, and you are curious about the future of data and analytics in healthcare.
  • Reporting to the Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, implementing, and sustaining all operational activities for the UHN Data & Analytics Student Program and UHN Applied Analytics team within the Data Strategy, Governance & Analytics Team. Your role will also provide project oversight and management activities to support students.

Qualifications

  • An Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility working in project management, and leading organizational change-related initiatives (people, culture, behaviour, data, process, policy, and/or technology)
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility working in program operations (e.g., maintaining operation products and processes, developing standard operating procedures, managing education program tools, SharePoint sites, and reports)
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint)
  • The ability to conceptualize processes, practices, and trends to support organizational strategy
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Possessing knowledge of data literacy, data analytics and visualization best practices
  • Committed to continually seeking opportunities to advance UHN’s analytics adoption maturity
  • The ability to optimize processes and streamline workflows
  • The ability to liaise with and manage relationships with external educational partners and internal stakeholders/clients
  • Effective management of operational cycles including project in-take, request tracking and prioritization, student on-boarding and off-boarding and marketing/promotions
  • The ability to guide and mentor students throughout their term with UHN
  • Effective management and tracking of program activities including reports that track process, performance and growth
  • Being organized, detail-oriented, adaptive, and client-focused
  • Possess experience on project management fundamentals including scoping, planning, implementation, issue/risk management and benefits realization
  • Able to recognize problems, proactively research the best option, and utilize individual judgment and action to resolve them
  • Possess strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills to build consensus, gain buy-in and build relationships
  • Demonstrated experience leading change through comprehensive planning, engagement, and communications
  • Knowledge of trends and frameworks in data and analytics, an asset
  • Experience working in a complex, public sector organization or healthcare institution, an asset
