Reports to: Dr. Carmela Tartaglia- Principal Investigator
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Day
Status: Temporary Full-time
Closing Date: September 30, 2025

Position Summary
The Clinical Research Study Assistant will support the ongoing concussion study by actively participating in various aspects of research coordination and execution. This includes participant recruitment, administration of study questionnaires, data collection, communication with collaborating study sites, manuscript preparation, and assistance with submitting required documentation to the Research Ethics Board (REB).

Duties

  • Assist the inter-professional research team in conducting study-specific tasks.
  • Support the preparation and organization of the study environment in accordance with study protocols.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of REB applications and amendments.
  • Assist with participant interactions, including:

    • Scheduling appointments

    • Performing follow-up communications

    • Providing administrative support as needed

  • Conduct telephone interviews to collect basic participant data following established protocols and criteria.
  • Maintain effective communication with collaborating study sites and ensure consistent study procedures across locations.
  • Contribute to the preparation and writing of manuscripts and other study-related documents.

Qualifications

  • At minimum, a Community college diploma in a health-related discipline, or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 3 to 6 months related experience is required
  • Demonstrates competency in written and verbal communications
  • Exercises limited judgement and decision making, using established policies and procedures to resolve technical problems
