Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Temporary Full-time (until November 2027)

Position Summary
Working in a highly dynamic environment and reporting to the Manager, Interpretation and Translation Services the Analyst will work collaboratively within patients and families across the Francophone community, to understand the needs of Francophone patients, essential care partners and substitute decision makers. The goal is to develop guidelines on how we can better serve the Francophone community while identifying gaps and opportunities in French language healthcare services. The Analyst will engage key stakeholders, including patient partners, caregivers, healthcare providers, community organizations, the French Language Health Planning Entity and the OH Toronto FLS Lead in the planning and implementation processes. An environmental scan will finalize the strategic plan. Upon completion of the environmental scan the Analyst will create a Francophone Services Office and a French Language Advisory Group at UHN whose work will focus on creating action plans to address the results of the needs assessment.
Duties
- Complete a needs assessment, benchmarking and environmental scan.
- Evaluate existing French language services at UHN and conduct an environmental scan of designated and identified French Language hospitals to benchmark against UHN’s current services.
- Identify themes during analysis of the results from surveys, interviews and focus groups
- Develop monitoring and evaluation metrics to track progress and measure the impact of initiatives, solicit feedback from service users and stakeholders to continually improve and refine services.
- Summarize Findings and Generate Recommendations
- Solicit feedback from community and implement recommendations from needs assessment
- Establish, design and develop comprehensive guidelines for French language digital wayfinding, ensuring consistency across all hospitals.
Qualifications
- Bilingual French and English.
- Project management experience
- Bachelors Degree, preferably a Masters Degree in a health-related field, or demonstrated equivalent
- Leading committees and initiatives and partnering with patients and families
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodology and analysis and ability to identify themes and trends from data
- Experience preparing statistical data analysis and reports in a healthcare environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
- Strong presentation and group facilitation skills using adult education principles
- Ability to take a creative and proactive approach to problem recognition, solving, and conflict resolution
- Strong Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams
- Ability to maintain confidentiality required
- Strong statistical data analysis and reports in a healthcare environment
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on building relationships
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with diverse, cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to be resourceful, learn quickly, change directions, and navigate complex decision making in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate or develop quality improvement programs and projects
