Status: Permanent Full-time

Position Summary:
The Radiation Medicine Program (RMP) at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is the largest of its kind in Canada and one of the most comprehensive single-site radiation medicine programs in North America. With a strong commitment to precision radiation medicine, personalized care, and global impact, RMP delivers cutting-edge cancer treatment to over 8,000 patients annually. The program is powered by a multidisciplinary team of radiation oncologists, therapists, physicists, nurses, and allied health professionals who collaborate to provide individualized, high-quality care across a broad spectrum of cancer types. RMP is deeply integrated with research, education, and innovation, making it a leader in advancing radiation oncology practices locally and internationally.

The Administrative Assistant will support the Clinical Research Program. They will be responsible for providing administrative support and financial bookkeeping for the program.

Duties:

  • Support the collection and filing of research documents, including training records and delegation logs.
  • Manage the regulatory inbox, escalating emails as required and filing correspondence.
  • Manage the document archiving and destruction of research files.
  • Update internal databases with study status information and support maintenance of study files.
  • Update Power BI source files and maintain an internal search tool.
  • Provide routine budgetary support functions: reconciling expenses, issuing invoices, processing patient reimbursements, and following up on unpaid invoices.
  • Issue service agreements and invoices, track payments and reconcile.
  • Other program administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Community College Diploma in General or Medical Office or equivalent Administration
  • Two (2) years of related administrative support experience
  • Experience working in a clinical research environment
  • Advanced skills using digital tools such as O365, Power BI, EXCEL.
  • Experience working with online survey and research database tools such as REDCap is an asset
  • Experience working in a health care environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to operate effectively in an interdisciplinary team
