Position Summary
We are looking for an individual with a passion for excellence in eLearning development who is excited by the challenge of a dynamic environment. As an eLearning Specialist, you will be working with clinicians, administrative, managerial, research and technical staff whose computer skills range from basic to advanced. You will be supporting staff whose goal is to provide exemplary patient care, innovative research and teaching.

Duties

As an integral member of Digital Education, the principal focus for the eLearning Specialist will be:

  • Design, develop and maintain dynamic, interactive, AODA compliant and user-friendly multimedia training solutions using Adobe Cloud, Snag It, Captivate, Vyond and Articulate software
  • Partner with colleagues and internal teams to design, develop and configure quality SCORM compliant and HTML e-learning
  • Collaborate with members of the curriculum development and training team to provide design guidance on storyboards, content flow, brainstorm/problem solve optimal educational design and determine resources required to meet project timelines with quality results
  • Produce quality eLearning course material, including course design documents, course outlines, course descriptions, course storyboards, diagrams, interactive exercises, and assessments
  • Understand and/or create storyboards and scripts for e-learning

Qualifications

  • 4 years of demonstrated experience as an e-learning developer
  • 2 years of direct experience using Adobe Cloud and Articulate software’s
  • 5 years of experience in Microsoft 2019 products
  • Bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, graphic design, or instructional design, or a related field in training development an asset
  • Previous LMS administration experience considered an asset
  • Experience working in a health care or corporate environment is an asset
  • Experience in creating digital assets for e-learning courses
  • Experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Excellent follow-up, time management and organization skills
  • Strong editing, written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong audio file recording and editing skills
  • Solid project management skills
  • Solid understanding of performance-based learning and simulation-based training
  • Solid experience in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), and Accessibility best practices and standards (AODA)

The ideal candidate is familiar and comfortable with the following programs:

  • Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise)
  • Adobe Captivate
  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Audition, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere)
  • Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams
  • Graphic Design
  • UX/UI experience
  • Quality assurance testing
  • SCORM 1.2/SCORM 2004
