Role Summary:
We are seeking a Research Analyst II to develop a world-first program that brings artificial intelligence (AI) to the clinics and research labs at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The successful candidate will develop a new initiative to bring customized AI solutions to our clinicians and researchers through 1:1 teaching. To achieve the scale required for this initiative, the Program Lead will recruit student volunteers and train them in AI tools. These trained volunteers will then be deployed through the cancer centre to deliver this innovative program.

The successful candidate will have the ability to both teach and inspire young learners, have outstanding managerial and organizational skills, and be a superb communicator. This position is for someone who loves teaching, thrives in leadership, and is excited about deploying AI to enhance productivity in the clinic and research.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify AI tools that are relevant for clinicians and scientists to increase their productivity
  • Teach high school and undergraduate students to use selected AI tools so they in turn can teach clinicians and scientists on how to integrate AI tools into their workflows to save time, improve quality, and enhance productivity.
  • Lead and manage an education-focused initiative, including program planning, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making adjustments to improve quality and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in education, computer science, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching in formal or informal learning environments.
  • Proven experience managing a program, initiative, or team.
  • Expertise in utilizing AI tools in practical applications.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple, engaging ways for different audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
