Shifts: Monday - Friday
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary
As GIM 8A Transitional ALC Unit + Outpatient Clinics Nurse Manager, your sound judgment and strong leadership abilities will enable you to lead and develop a department focused on delivering quality patient care. In overseeing the day-to-day operations, your accountabilities will include effective management of human, financial, and space resources, quality management, and resolution of patient care issues. Working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Health Care Teams, you will support and advance the unit, site and corporate strategic priorities.
Duties
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Health Care Teams to support and advance the unit, site and corporate strategic priorities
- Utilize creativity and change management skills to successfully identify and implement innovative changes to the care delivery model, enhancing seamless, integrated care and enabling the full scope of professional practice
- Develop and motivate a cohesive team, identifying and supporting educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to professional nursing practices and patient care
- Build and maintain dynamic relationships with internal stakeholders and external organizations to support organizational goals
Qualifications
- Client-focused and able to excel in a diverse, unionized work environment
- Clinical experience in General Internal Medicine is preferred, with additional experience in an ambulatory setting considered an asset
- Ability to assess care delivery and efficiency gaps, and to develop strategies to address them
- A minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience, with demonstrated success leading change management initiatives
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a relevant equivalent.
- Licensed with the Ontario College of Nurses
- Ability to identify key performance indicators with staff and support their professional development and career goals
- Demonstrated initiative, judgment, and leadership skills, with experience applying these skills to improve patient care and operational flow
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to recognize, analyze, and resolve problems proactively
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, preferred
