Reports to: Director, Operational Readiness
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Monday-Friday
Status: Permanent full-time, contingent on funding
Closing Date: November 28, 2025
Duties
- Focus is solely on the new TWH Surgical and Patient Tower and works closely with the Director of Operational Readiness, Director of Clinical Planning, Operational Readiness Consultants, the Operational Readiness team, and the Manager of Pharmacy, to support the development and implementation of the TWH Surgical and Patient Tower’s Pharmacy Operational Readiness work plan.
- Plans, executes, and monitors projects and activities based on the work plan, to be ready on Opening Day and beyond
- Assists with development and support of key activities, including new workflows, new protocols, new policies/procedures, new technology, new equipment, etc.
- Ensures the 7 flows of healthcare process improvements and LEAN principles are integrated into Operational Readiness deliverables.
- Utilizes project management templates, schedules, and change management skills in collaborating with stakeholders to achieve projects, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
- Encourages stakeholder participation and contribution in implementing Operational Readiness initiatives.
- Organizes and facilitates Operational Readiness meetings as needed.
- Collects and regularly reports on progress and risks of achieving the Operational Readiness work plan.
- Assists with the planning of orientation and training to support future operations.
- Assists in the coordination of move planning and transition.
Qualifications
- Minimum working 2-3 years in a hospital environment.
- Experience working in a Pharmacy environment preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital redevelopment project preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Pharmacy to support future models of care, new workflows, new processes, new equipment, new technology, etc.
- Ability to successfully manage and implement complex projects in a competing priority environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including documenting, reporting, presenting, filing, scheduling, attention to detail, etc.
- Strong change management skills
- Experience interpreting policies, regulations, legislation, and standards in a healthcare environment.
- Self-directed, able to anticipate work that is/will be required, and able to take initiative and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated comfort and experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively problem-solve, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, staff development, and team building skills.
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Excel) and other project management tools
- Completion of a post-secondary degree preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
