Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic human resources professional to join UHN’s People and Culture team as the Talent and Learning Coordinator. The Talent and Learning Centre of Excellence at UHN encompasses Talent Acquisition, Onboarding and Orientation, Learning, Leadership Development, Talent Development, Employee Experience, Workforce Planning and IDEAA. The Talent and Learning Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Director of Talent and Learning and will work closely with many members of the Talent and Learning team to support the development and coordination of new and existing programs and initiatives.
The Talent and Learning Coordinator role is central to the seamless operation of UHN’s talent and learning programming – encompassing administrative and logistical support, budget management, event planning and scheduling, evaluation and continuous process improvement for programs and processes, and participating in internal and external meetings and events. The Talent and Learning Coordinator will draw on their human resources, administrative, communications, and project management skills to support the design and delivery of projects and programs with oversight from leaders in the Centre of Excellence.
Duties
- Primary contact for training and development inquiries from leaders and employees, which includes managing a number of inboxes in accordance with set out service level agreements
- Prepare and maintain documentation, presentations and practice guidelines for Talent and Learning
- Contribute to process improvement through active policy and process review as well as day to day operations
- Collaborate with the Workforce Development team to manage annual intake, registration, and communications for leadership development programs
- For relevant talent and learning programs, produce program pre-work and follow-up materials, such as leaning journals, self-reflections, final attendance reports, budget summaries, and post-program evaluation and impact reports
- Plan and oversee the implementation of an evaluation framework for assigned projects. Maintain master database of all programs for annual talent and learning reporting.
- Planning, organizing and managing the logistics and scheduling of talent and learning programs, including but not limited to, negotiating and managing facility arrangements, setting up rooms for leadership and other Talent and Learning programs, technical assistance and catering, working closely with IT, catering other internal services teams and third party vendors.
- Work closely with the Talent and Learning leadership team and Finance teams to monitor budgets, and ensure accurate and timely timekeeping for the Talent and Learning team
- Support leadership team to manage external agencies and vendors
- Own an assortment of administrative duties, including but not limited to, coordinating and scheduling meetings, managing and maintaining documents and SharePoint sites, and handling inquiries from the team under the direction of the Senior Director - Talent and Learning
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- University Degree required. University Degree or Post-graduate certificate in Human Resource Management or other related discipline would be an asset.
- 2- 3 years related experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism and accountability. Ability to work well under pressure and use good judgment in assessing and responding to difficult situations.
- Outstanding customer service skills, and ability to interact with, engage, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders including people and culture colleagues, leaders and employees from across UHN, and external partners
- Experience and interest in talent management, organizational development, and learning and development. Experience and interest in using systems related to talent and learning (e.g., learning management systems, applicant tracking systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to research and summarize information for different audiences
- Strong organizational skills - scheduling, planning, coordinating, time management, and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, written and multi-media communications skills. Excellent computer skills including Zoom, Teams, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with meeting or event design and logistics
