Position Summary
The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Lodge provides a home-away-from-home accommodation for cancer patients who are receiving treatment at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre or Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre. As an integral part of the Princess Margaret Lodge, the primary responsibilities of the Resident Relations Supervisor include: supervising all operations of the Lodge; managing resident relations, admission criteria/bookings, resident check-in and check-out, etc.; aligning with Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Corporate Standards and Priorities, ensuring all rules and corporate policies are implemented; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested. This is an on-site role.
Duties
- Oversees all Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Lodge Office Administrative Operations, including providing direct supervision to lower classified clerical position(s)
- Collaborate with other disciplines to support Lodge operations
- Oversees incoming accommodation reservations, callback’s and general inbox and assigns work as needed to team members
- Promotes internal and external awareness within UHN and Sunnybrook about Lodge operations and services, including on site tours and off-site meetings
- Completes daily shift handovers and creates tracking reports (i.e., occupancy, exceptions etc.)
- Administering and monitoring billing procedures and budgeting records including reimbursements
- Oversees staff schedules, including the completion of payroll
- Providing support, organizing and running team meetings and events, including office huddles
- Maintaining and modifying confidential medical and personal information
- Prepares Month End and relevant Financial Reports including data analytics for mandatory OH reporting
- Ensuring all residents are complying with Lodge policies and procedures
- Performing cross-functional responsibilities, as assigned including Lodge management coverage
- Performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
Qualifications
- At minimum, completion of a 3-year community college program in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or in related field with experience in hospitality or recognized equivalent required
- At minimum Over 3 years up to and including 4 years of practical and related experience and/or on-the-job training required
- At minimum 1 year of supervisory/management experience)
- Previous on the job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience, in a Microsoft Office Environment preferred
- EPIC and Room Master experience an asset
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to direct and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a health care environment preferred
