About the Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Participant Experience of Corporate & Community Partnerships, the Junior Coordinator (Fundraising Support) will support the Event & Fundraising Team, you will support the team in meeting their overall fundraising and registration objectives for our six signature events:
Primarily supporting:
• Ride
• Ride North

Supplementally supporting:
• Walk
• Journey
• Road Hockey
• Cricket

You will play a dual role as both a passionate fundraiser and a steward of our cause. As a key member of the fundraising support team, you will help cultivate relationships with participants and donors, support them in their fundraising efforts, and ensure they have a positive experience. You will correspond daily with participants, donors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, provide information, and be an ambassador of PMCF events. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop their fundraising skills while engaging with our community and supporting our mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting fundraising events, including participant recruitment, engagement, and stewardship, demonstrating an ability to inspire and motivate individuals to reach their fundraising goals is an asset.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with donors and event participants, providing exceptional support and guidance to enhance their fundraising experience and maximize their contributions.
• Familiarity with fundraising platforms or CRM systems such as Raisin, Blackbaud, DonorDrive, DonorPerfect, Raisely, or similar tools is considered an asset.
• Previous experience working within a call centre environment, offering customer service and sales, is an asset.
• Ability to complete high-volume outbound calls/emails during peak periods.
• Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with relationship databases is an asset.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent work experience; minimum secondary school diploma required.
• Interest in a healthy lifestyle and/or fitness is considered an asset.
